Background: The rapid development of fintech lending services has improved financial accessibility among Generation Z. However, limited financial literacy may affect users’ ability to make appropriate financial decisions and maintain loyalty toward fintech lending platforms, particularly in Tabanan Regency.
Objective: This study aims to examine the effects of financial literacy and perceived ease of use on fintech lending usage loyalty among Generation Z, with self-efficacy as a moderating variable.
Methods: This study employed a quantitative approach based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Data were collected through an online questionnaire involving 170 Generation Z users of fintech lending services in Tabanan Regency selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.
Results: The findings indicate that financial literacy, perceived ease of use, and self-efficacy positively and significantly influence fintech lending usage loyalty. Furthermore, self-efficacy strengthens the effects of financial literacy and perceived ease of use on loyalty. The research model explains 50.9% of the variance in fintech lending usage loyalty (R² = 0.509).
Conclusion: Financial literacy, perceived ease of use, and self-efficacy are key factors influencing fintech lending usage loyalty among Generation Z. Self-efficacy also plays an important moderating role in enhancing the relationship between financial literacy, perceived ease of use, and loyalty. These findings contribute theoretical insights and practical implications for improving financial education and fintech service usability.
